What is Bagasse?Bagasse is the fibrous residue left after the extraction of juice from sugarcane or sorghum. It is typically considered a byproduct of the sugar production process.

• Hemicellulose (20–25%): A group of polysaccharides that complement cellulose.

Uses of Bagasse:

• In some regions, bagasse is treated and used as a low-cost source of roughage for livestock feed.
